Oasis

Oasis sucks. The singer has a really whiny voice that gets on my nerves after one song. And they think they're all that. After they wrote Wonder Wall they thought they were the greatest band on the face of the planet. They even said that they were better than The Beatles. I'm sorry, but anyone that says or even THINKS that they're better than the Beatles deserves to die. Except The Beatles. They can say that. But only them. Not Oasis. Oasis sucks.

  1. I agree with you, but can you support your opinion with specifics? For example, I know your british but do you have to add an R to the end of supernova in Champagne Supernova? It's not as cute as when Paul did it on Til There Was You. It feels a bit put on. I will say that Definitely Maybe, the album before What's the Story Morning Glory which Wonder Wall is on is a really solid early nineties album. Alot of people are blogging about you and your strong opinions. I think it's great that you have strong opinions. Now I think it's time to get specific and defend your opinions in a more mature fashion. Like I said in the comments of Shelby's blog about you and Connor (I believe she was talking about the two of you), having clearly defined opinions about the art you consume informs and teaches you about yourself. Having ill defined opinions about the art that others consume teaches them less than positive things about you. Again, I'm not saying that you should change your opinion. However, if you want people to hear your opinion because you feel that it's valid, you have to engage in a dialogue with them. If they feel like you aren't listening, they won't engage and they'll write you off as close minded. Now, you might be close minded, and I don't think that there's anything wrong with that. Still, I think you can do a better job of articulating your point.

Sometimes, in the articulation of your point, you can learn to appreciate the things other people like, because in the examination of your perspective, you sometimes see the flip side of your stance.

I don't hate rap. I hate bad music. I think I have clearly defined what good and bad music are for myself, and so I can have a discussion with people about it.

That being said, in any genre, one can find examples of good music or bad music in a spectrum. At least, I believe so. Dubstep might be my first and only exception so far, but I'm trying to give it a chance.
